The following table lists the terms and their usage in the context of our Security model:

Term Meaning
User User refers to an individual who has a User Account. An Account is the user's unique profile that represents the individual in Reltio Cloud. The User Account determines whether or not the user can log in a Reltio UI. User profile details are stored in the user’s account.
Customer A Reltio customer may have one or more Reltio deployments, where each deployment is associated with a unique customer account. A Customer Account can include one or more tenants.
Tenant A tenant is a workspace that stores the customer's data in Reltio platform. Each Tenant is identified by a unique Tenant ID.
Group Groups are a convenient way of assigning the same set of privileges to multiple user accounts.
Service A Service/Module is an independent project within the Reltio application.
Resource Resource refers to a unique functionality supported by a Service. A resource can have one or more sub-resources.
Privilege Privilege is an action that can be taken on a Service/Resource/Sub-resource. Privileges include Create, Read, Update, Delete, and Execute.
Permission Permission refers to the access provided to a user through a role. It is a combination of Services, Resources/Sub-resources and Privileges.
Role A Role is a combination of access permissions for one or more services/resources/sub-resources. Roles can be associated with users, groups, and/or tenants.
