Match Insights

The Match Insights report provides information about all matching-related activities.

Match Insights

The Match Insights report provides a detailed summary of match-merge actions that are performed in the tenant including the different match rules and merge actions with details, based on sources, entity types, and so on.

The report is divided into three key parts:
  • Quick scorecards that indicate the merges summary for the tenant
  • Detailed graphs that could be explored using time-series
  • Drill down tables which allow navigation by source

Scorecards

The following score cards provide a quick overview on entities:

  • Auto Merges
  • Manual Merges
  • Entities with no Merges
  • Total Potential Matches
Each of these scorecards functions as a quick view to provide an overview of the effectiveness of the match rules and merge process.

Detailed Graphs

Merges by Match Rule

The Merges by Match Rule table summarizes the number of merges that have been performed against each match rule. With provisions to sort the report in ascending or in descending order, this report provides a summary on the match rules that have contributed to the highest number of merges for the tenant.

The business user can use a drill-up option to obtain the number of merges, grouped by their sources. The business user can also right-click on the graph to download the displayed data as a CSV (date-wise number of merges by sources) and perform necessary actions on the data. The data downloaded in the report depends on the view that is available during the download.

Potential Matches by Match Rule

The Potential Matches by Match Rule table summarizes the number of potential matches against their corresponding match rule along with their average match score. This report is essential to verify the success of potential match rules that have provided the highest possibility of potential matches and possibly establish this rule for auto-merge.

This table also provides the business user with an option to download the displayed data by right-clicking on the table and performing necessary actions on the data. The data downloaded in the report depends on the view that is available during the download.

Merges by Date

This report summarizes the number of merges in this tenant over a defined date range and expressed as a trend line, plotted by their sources. This interactive report provides an option to select a specific time frame from a date range filter and define the time period for evaluation using the select date range drop-down (located on the top-right of the page). You can hover on the graph and obtain a visual indication (pop-up) on the number of merges created for that specific timestamp, grouped by their sources.

The business user can also right-click the graph and use drill-down/drill-up options to observe the date-wise count of merges, grouped by sources. The graph also provides the business user with an option to download the displayed data and perform any necessary actions on the data. The data downloaded in the report depends on the view that is available during the download.

Potential Matches by Source

The line graph summarizes the number of potential matches over a defined date range and expressed as a trend line, plotted by their sources. This interactive report provides an option to select a specific time frame from a date range filter and define the time period for evaluation using the select date range drop-down (located on the top-right of the page). You can hover on the graph and obtain a visual indication (pop-up) on the number of potential matches created for that specific time stamp, grouped by their sources.

The business user can also right-click the graph and use drill-down/drill-up options to obtain a date-wise count of potential matches, grouped by sources. The graph also provides the business user with an option to download the displayed data and perform any necessary actions on the data. The data downloaded in the report depends on the view that is available during the download.

Drill-down by Source, Entity ID and URI

Source-wise Operations Report - Merge Type

This table provides a summary on the type of merges (either auto or manual ) performed on entities, grouped by sources. All entity Ids present in the tenant are made available in a drop-down list to select entities for analysis. If there is no pre-selection applied, all entity Ids are included for analysis. All merge types present in the tenant are made available in a drop-down, to decide on the selection criteria applied on the report. There are two merge types possible, auto and manual.

On selection of an entity Id and required merge type to analyze, all sources that have contributed to the merge process are listed as an output of the report. In the next drill-down, right-clicking any of the sources provides the list of entity Id that has been mapped to the source. Further drill-down on the entity Id provides the information on the type of merge. Multiple selection on relations is possible at input and all the corresponding merge types would be listed.

These activities can be performed for a specific time-period using the select date range (located on the top-right of the page) to evaluate the operations performed during that time frame.

Source-wise Operations Report - Potential Matches

This table summarizes the count of potential matches grouped by sources. All entity Ids present in the tenant are made available in a drop-down list, to select an entity for analysis. If there is no pre-selection applied, all entity Ids are included for analysis.

On selection of required entity Id from the drop-down, all sources that have contributed as a potential match are listed as an output of the report. In the next drill-down, right-clicking any of the sources provides the entity Id from this source. Further drill-down on the source provides the information on the type of match. Multiple selection on entity Ids is possible at input and all the corresponding potential matches would be listed.

This similar activity can be done for a specific time-period using the select date range (located on the top-right of the page) to evaluate the operations performed during that time frame.

Merges

This table provides details of entity wise merge summary with URI details, categorised by the respective match rules. All match rules in tenant are made available in a drop-down list, to select the required rule for analysis. If there is no pre-selection applied, all match rules would be included for analysis.

On selection of the required match rule, all entities that have been impacted by the match rule are listed as an output of the report. Multiple match rules are selected too and all entities impacted by the rules get listed. The results can be downloaded by right-clicking on the table.

The match rule analysis can be done for a specific time-period using the select date range (located on the top-right of the page) to evaluate the operations performed during that time frame.
