Platform Security

A cleaner privilege-based model, that is more consistent across all Reltio services, is replacing the endpoint security model. Rather than specifying rules per tenant based on URL matching and HTTP verbs, roles can now be defined centrally (down to the tenant level) granting and denying privileges to specific resource capabilities (Create, Retrieve, Update, Delete, and Execute operations).

To make the transition seamless for customers, Reltio has migrated the old endpoint security configuration defined for your tenants to the new privilege-based access model. Customer access rights were preserved during the transition.

Data model enhancement

This enhancement to the data model allows you to store addresses as nested attributes within the profile instead of a reference entity. The Reltio data model now supports five levels deep nesting. If you are making changes to your data model, consider leveraging this feature for addresses and managing consent and to simplify your data model.

Relevance based match
Reltio is introducing a new match rule type called, "Relevance based" match rule. This match rule type allows users to associate actions based on the match score of the entities being compared. The supported actions are "Auto Merge," "Potential Match," and "Not A Match." Users can configure the match score range and map the relevant action to the match score range. Additionally, users will also be able to assign weight to the match attribute which will be used in the match score calculation.
Search by match score
Users will now be able to search for potential matches by providing the range of match score of entities. Specifying range will further help users narrow down the candidates for "Merge" vs "Not a merge" based on the match score.
API enhancements
External match API now accepts an array of match rules using a comma-separated set of match group URIs for matching processes. All other match groups will be ignored if this parameter is defined.

Reltio has improved search capabilities in both the UI and API. Users can now search for:

  • Entities by number of crosswalks
  • Entities by match score
  • Entities and relationships by status of the record (active/inactive)
  • Support for apostrophe character (') in type-ahead search
Users can utilize the robust search capabilities in the Desktop UI and export entities using the Export application in Reltio Console. This connected and seamless search experience allows users to filter on the attributes per entity type and export only Operational Values (OV).
Inconsistencies remediation
The Reltio platform launched an inconsistencies remediation service to eliminate the need to run the reindex job after every data load activity. UI notifications will inform Reltio users when this remediation service has resolved inconsistencies.
Desktop User Experience
"As-of" view in Hierarchy
Hierarchy facet now supports the ability to change the effective date and view hierarchies at a point in time. It also supports end-dating or future-dating relationships within the hierarchy. The feature allows users to visualize differences in hierarchies from one point in time to another.
Potential Matches Enhancements
Pin attributes
Through configuration, users may select which attributes they want to persist at the top of the list, allowing them to focus on important attributes and eliminate the need to scroll through the long list.
Distinguish OV values from others
OVs now have a visual indicator making it easier for users to differentiate between OVs and other values when comparing profiles.
Merge all
Users can now efficiently merge multiple profiles through a "Merge all" action without having to merge one profile at a time.
Source Crosswalk Enhancement
Reltio has improved the usability of finding reference attribute sources. Through a hover action, a visual indicator will appear next to the parent source, making it easier to find its nested value source. The UI will auto-scroll to the source for easy detection.
Data Synchronization
UI based notification informs users of data movement in the platform such as Load, Update, Refresh, and Match & Merge, enabling users to manage searches and exports from the platform.
Reltio Rank and Data Quality IQ
In the MDM UI, two new scores, Reltio Rank and Data Quality IQ, will be visible on the profile header to allow users to view the quality of entities and guide them to make remediations to improve the quality. Users may also search and filter for entities based on these two scores.

The feature will be released as an Early Access (EA) capability to limited customers. If you would like to be a part of this EA program, please contact your customer success representative.
Reference Data Management (RDM)
Excel-like Mapping
To improve efficiency, Reltio has enabled inline editing of source values with keyboard shortcuts. Inline editing becomes extremely helpful when users want to input several values in the UI; vastly improving productivity and eliminating the need to go through multiple screens to add values.
Users can now coordinate efforts and prevent conflicts through the collaboration functionality. Users can "mention" other team members who will receive email notifications about pending action items. Such discussion threads allow for conversations without the need for all users to be simultaneously online.
Federated RDM
Your business may have several Reltio RDM instances running within your organization. They may span across Lines-of-Business, Departments, or Regions.. In this release, you can integrate a Reltio MDM tenant with up to five RDM tenants. Federated RDM allows your Reltio MDM tenant the flexibility to reference data from multiple RDM repositories.
Machine Learning (ML) and Analytics
Additional API Options When Accessing Data in Reltio IQ
When reading data exported from MDM to IQ or interactions loaded, new API options allow you to optimize how quickly data is available for larger or smaller entities. Additionally, you can choose a time-frame to get a historical view of an entity for up to five days in Reltio IQ. For example, if you want to get a view of all changes to an entity in the last three days for analytical requirements, you can now get that detail in the API.
Monitoring and Cluster Size Recommendation
We have added additional monitoring capabilities that periodically evaluate Reltio IQ activity and optimizes data structure for optimal processing. Additionally, we have added capabilities that recommend the size of the cluster for interaction data import in Reltio IQ based on the type and size of the data to avoid needing to calculate this manually.
IQ Applications Reference Architecture
We are publishing a reference architecture that can be used to build IQ based applications that allow you to integrate analytical insights derived in Reltio IQ with other Reltio components like the MDM UI and Reltio Console. As an example, the new Data Quality offering uses this reference architecture.
Data Loader
Now users can load entities data into Reltio tenants in the most reliable, performant, and stable manner through the Data Loader. With a guided experience to load, transform, and map data, both business and IT users can easily load their data and manage pending and completed jobs.
Data Quality
The Data Quality (DQ) dashboard in Reltio console shines a light on data quality improvement opportunities in your MDM tenant. It helps users track the quality of data in their tenant over a time period. With an executive dashboard, users are able to view key data statistics at the tenant and entity type levels. With Reltio Rank and DQ IQ (mentioned above,) customers can focus their attention on profiles that are most important for their business for which data quality enhancements would bring the biggest bang for their buck.

Data Quality feature will be released as an EA product to limited customers. If you would like to be a part of this EA program, please contact your customer success representative.
Usage Metrics
Usage metrics provide users a comprehensive status view of their Reltio platform usage. Users can gain insight into API usage volumes, storage consumption, number of consolidated and reference profiles, and potential matches.
Tenant Management: Reindex Task Improvements
Two additional parameters for Reindex tenant tasks have been added to allow users to define their job better.
Deprecation Notice
Platform Security
A cleaner privilege-based model, that is more consistent across all Reltio services, is replacing the endpoint security model. All customer roles have been migrated automatically to the new security model. As a result of this change, any endpoint access configuration changes made via /access/{tenantId} (POST and DELETE) will have no effect. All endpoint access configuration management APIs will be deprecated in the next release.

In the next release, a new User Management component available via the Reltio Console will be provided to customers to manage roles and permissions easily. This will simplify the management of user privileges. Online documentation will be available describing the new security model. Please contact Reltio Customer Support if you have any questions on this area.
