Reltio Insights at a Glance

Reltio Insights (RI) is a Reltio product designed for running complex analytics against data stored in the Reltio Cloud Platform.

RI is built on top of Apache Spark™ and provides a set of out-of-the-box libraries and connectors to enable agile analytics and provide bidirectional integration and access to all data between the Reltio Cloud Platform and RI. This integration also enables closed-loop analytics to allow for personalized and in-context insights.

RI uses the Apache Spark analytics processing platform.

Use Cases and Operations

RI provides the ability to export entities, relationships, crosswalks, and match history from the Reltio Cloud Platform to Spark Datasets for advanced analysis. Additionally, interaction data can be loaded directly into RI and matched with corresponding data from the Reltio Cloud platform to support closed-loop analytics.

RI supports the following use cases:

  • Accessing data from the Reltio Cloud Platform.
  • Building reports with extracted data from the Reltio Cloud Platform.
  • Storing analytics in Amazon S3 and publishing analysis data on the Reltio Cloud Platform.
  • Performing additional analysis with available out-of-the-box Spark SQL, Spark GraphX, and SparkMLib libraries.
  • Leveraging data from the Reltio Cloud Platform plus interaction and transaction data loaded directly into Spark for up-to-date analytics.

New Features and Improvements

Event Processor Auto Scaling

The RI Event Processor now auto scales depending on the workload.

Upgrade to Spark 2.1

RI is now certified with Spark 2.1 (upgraded from Spark 2.0).

Attribute Level Crosswalks in RI

RI now supports exporting crosswalk-level entity and relationship information in addition to the consolidated operational views.

Incremental Data Access for Interactions

RI now allows you to identify and export delta interactions.

Reltio Cloud 2017.3 GA Release Notes: Reference Data Management

This document covers new and updated Reference Data Management features for the Reltio Cloud 2017.3 GA release.

RDM at a Glance

Reltio Reference Data Management (RDM) provides a trusted source of reference data that helps improve data quality and brings operational excellence for your MDM. It provides an easy-to-use application that allows you to create, map and manage reference data. Customers can create reference data and manage reference data hierarchies across multiple systems, domains, and geographies.

Reltio Reference Data provides:

  • A business-user-friendly portal to define, manage and standardize reference data across multiple source systems.
  • Automatic transcoding and translation, with no special coding required.
  • Easy mapping and standardization of reference data.
  • The ability to centrally remediate reference data issues.
  • A comprehensive REST API layer for access using integration systems.
  • A reverse transcoding API for conversion into downstream system values.

Challenges

Reference data is a nonvolatile and slow-moving subset of master data. Challenges in reference data management include a lack of clear visibility into reference data usage and no easy method to change and update reference data across systems. Managing reference data requires transcoding during ETL and may require additional custom code. RDM allows customers to create reference data objects within their MDM model, map and manage external source data to reference data, and build hierarchies for reference data.

Features and Benefits

The major features of Reltio RDM include:

  • Exceptional reference data management
    • Functionality:
      • The capability to map reference data to data sources and manage reference data sets.
      • Administration support for diverse reference data types, and connections to existing MDM and operational applications.
      • Remediation of reference data is centralized and easy
      • Security and access control.
    • Business values:
      • RDM provides user-friendly tools to create and manage reference data.
      • The cost of operation is low, as RDM has no customer code management or database setup requirements.
  • Hierarchy and operational management
    • Functionality:
      • Support for reference data hierarchy management over reference data sets, including cross-domain mapping capabilities.
      • RDM contains pre-populated packaged reference data, for example, Zip, Country, and State.
    • Business values:
      • Users can produce high transaction quality results without the need for any transactional rework.
      • Users can create new data codes with capabilities for improved reporting and analytics.

Data-Driven Applications for Business Teams

Reltio RDM customers can centrally create, manage and view their reference data using an RDM portal. Data stewards can use this portal to map their source system reference data to standardized canonical values.

RDM Portal

Reltio RDM customers can centrally create, manage and view their reference data using an RDM portal. Data stewards can use this portal to map their source system reference data to standardized canonical values.

Support for Canonical to Source Transcoding for Reference Data

The RDM Transcoding API now returns source system values when you provided the source system name as a request parameter.
