Potential Matches Perspective (Early Access)

Manage potential matches easily by using the Potential Matches perspective.

In any organization, profiles are maintained across systems and there are instances where multiple records of the same profile exist. There may be inconsistencies in each record. In such cases, it would be beneficial to merge these records and maintain one record with the complete information. There are also instances where two profiles are related to each other.

There are certain match pairs that you can configure such that the system can automatically take action on those. Other match pairs that require manual review are resolved using the Potential Match screen. Reltio uses match rules and Match IQ to determine if two records are a match, not a match, or a potential match.

Reltio uses match rules and Match IQ to determine if two records are a match, not a match, or a potential match. You can also use the Match Score to decide if a profile is a potential match. Based on pre-defined match rules, each potential match is given a Match Score and the higher the score, higher is the probability of it to be a potential match for your profile.
Note: The Match Score of a potential match will have a value of more than 0 only if the standalone and incremental scores are configured for the match rules.

There may be instances when certain profiles,in spite of being a potential match, are excluded from the profile view due to these match rules. In such cases, you can manually search by entering the search criteria in the “Search” field and include these profiles as potential matches.

You have the option of viewing the Potential Matches perspective in the classic mode or the new mode. To know how to toggle between these two modes, please see Managing View Preferences.

When you navigate to the Potential Match perspective, the following tabs are displayed:

  • Potential Matches
  • Find Matches
  • Not a Match

The Potential Matches tab

The Potential Matches tab displays the selected profile information on the top along with a table that lists entities that are a potential match. By default, only the active entities are displayed here. The following information is provided for each entity:

The Not a Match tab

The Not a Match tab displays potential matches that have been marked as not a match. You can merge these matches or mark them as match for the selected profile.
