Configuring Graph Types

Graph types are configured in the configuration file and graphs are viewable in the user interface.

The following image defines the properties of the graph in the graphTypes collection in the configuration file:

Property Description
uri Indicates the path to access the graph type. For example, configuration/graphTypes/CompanyHierarchy.
label Indicates the name of the graph. For example, Company Hierarchy.
limitMemberToOneGraphInstance

Denotes if the graph is related to multiple graph instances of the same graph type. The value is true or false.

type Indicates the type of graph, which can be:
  • manual - Using APIs or UI, you can manually add members to a graph instance.
  • logical - You can define rules to add members to a graph instance.
  • manual-logical - You can manually add members, as well as define rules to add members.
layout Indicates the default layout used in graph visualization, which can be network, hierarchy, tree, or family.
allowCycles Indicates whether the cycle condition is allowed in the graph. The values is true or false.
relationshipTypeURIs Lists the relationship types supported for the graph type.
