Adding a Relation

You can add a relation to an entity type by defining the relationship type and other details. The search results include the relationships in both the directions, expanding the search criteria.

Using Graph Search, you can search for entities that have a relationship record or are missing a relationship record. The Exists operator enables you to search for entities that have a relationship record for a specified relation type. For example, you can search for practitioners belonging to the Oncology department who are affiliated with a hospital in the New York area by selecting Associated with hospital in the Relationship type field and selecting the Exists operator. You can further add complex queries by searching for hospitals in New York and the department as Oncology.

The Missing operator enables you to search for entities that are missing a relationship record for a specified relation type. For example, you can search for practitioners belonging to the Oncology department who do not have any affiliation with a hospital in the Chicago area by selecting Associated with hospital in the Relationship type field and selecting the Missing operator. You can further add complex queries by searching for hospitals that are in Chicago and the department as Oncology.
