# Examples of Number Functions

Number functions are used in a data validation function.

Function Description Sample
`range` The validation function checks that the attribute value is between the given date range. If the validation is met then the appropriate validation message is displayed.
``range(attributes.Age.value,22,60)``
`equals` The validation function checks that the attribute value exactly matches the given static number. If the validation is met then the appropriate validation message is displayed.
``equals(attributes.Age.value,'16')``
`gt` The validation function checks that the attribute value is greater than the given static number. If the validation is met then the appropriate validation message is displayed.
``gt(attributes.Age.value,'20')``
`gte` The validation function checks that the attribute value is greater than and equal to the given static number. If the validation is met then the appropriate validation message is displayed.
``gte(attributes.Age.value,'20')``
`lt` The validation function checks that the attribute value is lesser than the given static number. If the validation is met then the appropriate validation message is displayed.
``lt(attributes.Age.value,'20')``
`lte` The validation function checks that the attribute value is lesser than or equal to the given static number. If the validation is met then the appropriate validation message is displayed.
``lte(attributes.Age.value,'20')``
`exists` The validation function checks that the given attribute value exists. If the validation is met then the appropriate validation message is displayed.
``exists(attributes.Age.value)``
`missing` The validation function checks that the given attribute value is missing. If the validation is met then the appropriate validation message is displayed.
``missing(attributes.Age.value)``
