Editing an Entity Type Attribute

You may want to modify the details of an existing attribute of an entity type. Depending upon the attribute type, the system allows you to edit the corresponding details. To edit an entity type attribute, you must click the existing entity type on the Entity types page. The Attributes page appears. Hover over the attribute that you want to modify and click the edit (pen) icon on the right side of the listed attributes.

The Edit attribute page appears. For a simple attribute type, you can modify the attribute label, description, lookup type, and all the properties such as Hidden, Searchable, Faceted, and Required.

For a nested attribute, you can update all the details, except the Name of the attribute.

While editing a nested attribute, you can edit the details of the child attributes that are listed in the lower section of the page.

While editing a nested attribute, you can click on the +Attributes link to add new simple or nested attributes. This allows you to create nested levels of attributes.

Click SAVE to update the attribute details.
