Medicinal Product Profile

A Medicinal Product profile provides comprehensive information of a medicinal product.

This profile provides information that includes the product name, brand, dosage, strength, ingredients, marketing and labeling information. The Profile page enables you to view the details of a medicinal product. Medicinal Product profile page includes various facets such as Dose Form / Product Strength, Peer Market Product, Identifiers, Packaging, Ingredients, Indications, Pricing, Market Hierarchy, and Product Hierarchy.

The Medicinal Product profile page lets you perform certain operations such as view, create, edit, and delete. By default, a Medicinal Product profile page appears in Viewing mode. This view mode allows you to read and print a Medicinal Product profile information. When you select the Editing mode, all the text fields become editable and Add buttons appear on the various facets. These Add buttons enables you to add additional attributes for the facets. Delete enables you to remove a Medicinal Product profile.

  • Dose Form/Product Strength: It shows the product strength and dose form of the medicinal product.

  • Peer Market Products: It shows the peer or similar medicinal products in the market. This uses the relationship type ‘SameProduct’.

  • Competing Products: It shows the competing medicinal products in the market. This uses the relationship type “HasPeer”.

  • Identifiers: It shows the medicinal product’s identification numbers. There can be multiple identifiers of a medicinal product. Mfg. Part Number, MPID, GTIN number, NDC Codes are some of the examples of the type of identifiers.

  • Packaging: It shows the package details such as type, width, length, height, weight and count of the product pack.

  • Ingredients: It shows the various ingredients that the selected medicinal product contains. This list consists of both Active and Inactive ingredients of the medicinal product. This uses the relationship type ‘IsIngredientOf’.

  • Indications: It shows the indications for which the product can be sold in an authorized market, and other regulatory details such as regulatory approval date, market authorization number, market authorization date, and market authorization expiry date.

  • Pricing: It shows the several types of pricing associated with the medicinal product. Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price, Actual Sales Price, Average Sales Price are some of the examples of the pricing information of a medicinal product.

  • Market Hierarchy: It shows the market hierarchy of the medicinal product. The market hierarchy can be defined by the user based upon the market territories defined within an organization.

  • Product Hierarchy: It shows the hierarchy of the medicinal product. This hierarchy shows the relationship or affiliation of a product with other related products such as peer products and competitive products.
