Organization Profile

The Organization profile is arranged into “facets” that display the Profile, D&B Attributes, Contacts, Potential Matches, D&B Hierarchy, and Company Hierarchy.

This profile provides information about an Organization such as the Organization name, address, and phone number. The Organization profile is arranged into “facets” that display the Profile, D&B Attributes, Contacts, Potential Matches, D&B Hierarchy and Company Hierarchy. You can perform various actions to view, edit and delete data. By default the profile page appears in Viewing mode which enables you to view Organization profile information in Read Only mode. When the Editing mode is selected, fields become editable subject to the user’s permissions, and “Add” buttons appear on the facets which enables you to add additional attributes to the facets. Delete enables you to remove an Organization profile.

An Organization profile page includes the following facets:

  • Organization Profile View: Displays a customer’s Organization attributes.

  • D&B Attributes: Displays attributes that have been enriched with data from D&B.

  • Contacts: Shows related Contacts for the Organization.

  • D&B Hierarchy: Shows the D&B hierarchy of the selected Organization. The hierarchy is a limited D&B hierarchy constructed from the D&B "Global Ultimate", "Domestic Ultimate" and "HQ/Parent" organization details returned in the response files from D&B, not from the D&B Linkage service.

  • Company Hierarchy: Shows a customer's own Organization hierarchy which can be different from the D&B hierarchy.

Editing an Organization profile

An Organization's profile can be edited by selecting the Editing option from the Viewing drop-down list.

You can edit an Organization profile and the facets that are part of the profile page. To perform the edit operation:

  1. Search and select desired Organization profile.
  2. On the Profile page, select Editing from the Viewing drop-down list. All text fields appear editable mode including the facets.
  3. Make desired changes in the text fields.
    Note: You can add new attributes for desired facets by clicking More Attributes and remove an existing attribute by clicking the Delete icon.
  4. Click the Add button if you want to add additional attributes.
  5. Click Save.

Creating an Organization profile

An Organization's profile can be created by clicking More from the main menu and then selecting the type of profile you want to create.

To create an Organization profile:

  1. Click More > Create Profile > Organization.
  2. Enter name in the Name text field.
  3. Specify required details in the respective text fields.
  4. In the D&B Attributes section, specify D&B attribute details for the organization.
  5. Click the Add button to select more attributes.
  6. Click Save.

Deleting an Organization profile

An Organization's profile can be deleted by selecting the Delete option from the Viewing drop-down list.

To delete an Organization profile:

  1. In the Profile page, search and select your desired profile.
  2. From the Viewing drop-down list, select Delete. A confirmation pop-up appears prompting you to confirm the action.
  3. Click OK.
