D&B Recertification

D&B recertification is a process to recertify organizations' DUNS numbers, refresh organizations' profile data, and update the D&B hierarchy with the latest D&B data.

D&B (Dun and Bradstreet) recertification is a process to recertify organizations' DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System) numbers, refresh organizations' profile data, and update the D&B hierarchy with the latest D&B data. The process updates existing organizations' data with the most current information available from D&B. You can run the D&B recertification process for selected account profiles at a defined time interval. The typical frequency of recertification is quarterly, or annually.

The Reltio D&B batch recertification process is similar to the D&B match and append process. The main difference is:

  • Instead of sending an organization's name, address, and telephone number for matching the data, only the DUNS number and country details are sent to D&B.

  • D&B returns only the append portion of the data, not the match metadata.

As a part of the D&B recertification process if there are organization records that do not have a DUNS number, then such records are submitted to the D&B match and append process.

Note: There are commercial implications of refreshing the data from D&B. The cost of refresh process per profile is depends on your license agreement with D&B.
